Co Kids Moorhouse Ave

CHILDCARE CENTRE

Welcome to Co Kids, Christchurch

A vibrant and spacious centre early childhood education centre located at 1 Pilgrim Place, just off Moorhouse Ave in Sydenham. Our centre fosters curiosity and creativity, allowing children to explore, imagine, and discover at their own pace.

OUR CHRISTCHURCH CENTRE

At Co Kids, we have incorporated elements of the Emmi Pikler and RIE theories into developing a teaching philosophy based on respectful education and care practices.

Our vegetable garden provides a unique opportunity for children to contribute to our nutritious, sugar-free menu, fostering a sense of community and responsibility as they grow and gather seasonal vegetables to help our onsite chef.

Our dedicated Babies Room, as well as outdoor area, provides a nurturing and secure environment, specifically designed for our youngest learners. Located in a separate area, these spaces offer a gentle and gradual transition to our preschool program. By having a separate space, we can tailor our care and activities to meet the unique needs of our babies, from crawling and walking to exploring and discovering. This separate room also ensures their safety as they learn to navigate their surroundings and develop their motor skills.

In our Babies Room, you'll find:

A calm and soothing atmosphere, perfect for little ones to grow and develop.

  • Experienced and caring educators, dedicated to providing personalised care and attention.

  • A range of engaging activities and toys, designed to stimulate their senses and encourage learning.

  • A safe and secure space, where babies can explore and play without worrying about older children

For our Toddlers and Preschoolers, you'll find:

we have thoughtfully designed individual classrooms and two spacious play areas for combined play, minimising transitions and anxieties. These safe spaces encourage:

  • Siblings to share in each other's day.

  • Older children to mentor and care for younger peers.

  • Younger children to learn from and emulate older role models.

  • A culture of empathy, kindness, and community among children and teachers

Join us in our supportive and inclusive environment, where every child can flourish and grow
